A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

Link round up

I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite links/websites
with the hopes that maybe you'd share some of your favorites with me!
These are websites that I use often and have book marked on my computer.

Jackie's Favorite Websites
(click on the links to check them out)
a great resource to look up bible verses, It assists you in finding verses that you've forgotten where they are by simply entering a few words of the verse you're looking for. It also has commentaries, study tools, devotionals and a daily promise....love it!

I'm forever needing to look up the spelling of words, this is a great site which includes a thesaurus as well

I'm a facebook junky, and a fan of social media!

I use it for everything, looking up information, maps/directions, finding people... it's endless what Google can find for you!

Goodreads users recommend books, compare what they are reading, keep track of what they've read and would like to read, find their next book to read, and much more.

I love pic monkey when I need to do some picture editing, or if I simply just want to have fun with my photo's. If you've never used Pic monkey... you should, it's so fun!

Pinterest is a social bulletin board. Luckily a site I'm not addicted to! I do enjoy browsing once or twice a week to get ideas from other users. Ideas in decorating, photography, cooking, Crafts, shortcuts, you name it....you'll find it on Pinterest!

A good place to go if you need a quote for a given subject. I actually use this a lot when making cards and sending someone a note of encouragement  etc

When I make a photobook or just order photos this is my "go to" website, easy to use, good quality and affordable

Movie reviews
Before Rick and I  go to see a movie, we visit our favorite movie review website "Rotton Tomato's" We get reviews from both the critic's and the audience. Tonight it's off to "Silver Linings Playbook".  Critic's give it a 91%, audience 90%... I'm expecting a great movie.

Weather
Just type in your zip code and you have it....Instant forecast

Now it's your turn, I'd love to hear about your favorite/most visited websites,
will you share some with me?

  2. I have select blogs in my Google Reader, use Google all the time, read MPR and MinnPost daily, but have not heard of pic monkey. This is a good resource list. I have not yet given in to Facebook or Pinterest although I've been told many times that I need FB for my blog.

  3. I use weheartit.com for a lot of the pictures I post on my blog. Sometimes I manipulate them with fotoflexer.com.

    I'm a total youtube.com junkie.

I read every single post at rachellegardner.com for advice on the writing industry.

I use bn.com (barnes & noble) to buy almost ALL of my books. I have bought 35 books through bn.com in the last six months! (i'm an addict!)

    1. Thanks Jac, It was fun to checkout a few of your links. I had never heard of fotoflexer, similar to my favorite "picmonkey" but not as user friendly, I'll have to visit the site from time to time. I also visit BN for my Nook books, but never go to youtube unless I'm checking out someones link they posted on FB (i'm pretty sure i could be addicted to it as well :)
