Working my "game face"

Sunday afternoon I got a text message
from my son Gavin, my 6'3" 240 lb baby

He wanted to know if I would like to go bowling with his friend Jay and Jay's mom, Cynthia.
It didn't take me long to text back,  what time?
Jay is home on winter break, he and Gavin have been buddies since junior high school.
4-5 of the high school buddies bowl often when they are all home on break.
Cynthia and I.....not so much,
we figured the last time we bowled, our kids were little.

it didn't matter how long it had been to me, I had no expectations!
Just thrilled to be hanging out with my son and our friends
(Gavin & I back row)

 My size 9's and Gavin's 13's
I got my "GAME FACE" on

My game face was no match for my son's talent...
*STRIKE*
I did end up breaking "100" in both games
The second game Gavin whooped-up on us all with a score of 142 and I proudly followed him in 2nd place with a 113.
Today I have a sore right elbow and stiff hips....ugh
It's ok though, the soreness is so worth the time spent with my boy!

    1. I think I was allowed to take pictures only because Jay and his mom were present, and I did sneek a few as well.

  2. Looks like a great afternoon with your son and his friend and friend's mom. I would have jumped at the chance too to spend such time with my son. Besides that, this is fun blogging material and they had to know you would bring your camera. Nice shots with some fun photo editing going on there.

    1. It was a fun post Audrey. My boys are not fond of mamma and her camera so I have to get sneeky. We had a great time, but I was pretty sore the next day!
