A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

It all started at the Ramada Inn....back in the kitchen

I knew he was gonna be mine the moment I laid eyes on him
It was my first day of work as a waitress at Ramada Inn....
He walked by me sporting that puffy blue down parka and a box radio on his shoulder...
My friend Deb said...."He's the dishwasher".
I was just 15, never dated but knew he would be mine,
I just had to convince him of that.
6 months later, he asked me out, and yes now I was 16 so I could date!

One month later, I was his date for his Senior prom.
We attended the same high school so I thought I was pretty cool dating a senior.
Me...just a sophomore
Here we are, high school sweet hearts on Prom day. (Circa 1977)
*just a side note, my mom wore this dress to our wedding*

Fast forward to 5 years later...

    2. May 15 will mark 31 years of marriage for us, too. Where did those years go? I meant to say also that I enjoyed the story of how you and Rick met and how you "knew."

  6. bahahahaa, there's nothing better than that Dad had a boom box on his shoulder, that will never stop being hilarious to me. It's so neat that you met so young, you guys have a beautiful story. Love you!

  7. 'Well it wasn't really a "Boom box" those hadn't been invented yet. It was a large radio, I just know it was pretty cool!
