It's good to see the sun, now if the wind would just calm down

It doesn't surprise me....at all

According to the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), the title of windiest U.S. city belongs to Dodge City, Kansas, where the wind blows at an average speed of 13.9 miles per hour.
Amarillo, Texas, which has an average wind speed of 13.5 mph, ranks second,
and Rochester, Minnesota, at 12.9 mph, ranks third.

It never fails...
The temps start warming up a little, trying to be spring but by early afternoon
the winds are usually raging here in Rochester, Ugh!
Because it was "so nice" today (the sun is actually shining),
my daughter and I thought it would be fun to take the kids to the park.
Sadly the winds picked up after lunch,
which always seems to drop the temperature 10 degrees.

The good thing...the kids still had fun, they always do  :)
I had fun with a new little editing tool called "Lens Flare"
(photo taken by my daughter)

  1. Darn windy city! I was wondering if that 'flare' was a edit?! cool! The park was great despite the wind :)

  3. Sunshine and kids in the park. Fabulous day. I hung my laundry out in 27-degree temps this a.m. and now just pulled it all, dry, from the line. Oh, glorious sun.

My son claims it's a "good day in Fargo" when the wind doesn't blow, which is rare. I cannot imagine Rochester windier than Fargo. He can compare the two this summer.

    Adorable photo. Just adorable.

    1. Well, according to the poll I posted from, Fargo comes in behind Rochester at 23rd windiest. At least Caleb will be used to the wind and it probably wont even phase him :)

I thought about hanging my sheets out today and I should have! Now that I know you did I REALLY wish I would have. Loving the sunshine today for sure.

  5. I hear ya about the wind and unforunately living in our neighborhood on the "edge" of town with few large trees it can get nasty! It's always nice to go to my parent's house near Soldier's Field where the wind is calmer due to the trees and houses:)
