It wasn't easy as it looks....

I've always enjoyed doing little amateur photo shoots each year with my grandkids.
My daughter takes them to Target for their indoor professional pictures,
and then I supplement them with some outdoor photo's just for fun.

This year 2 year old Carson wasn't havin' the Target lady..... no way, no how!!!
So a second attempt was made by me with my daughter to help make it happen.

Yes it looks like he was a perfect child model...."CHEEEEESE"

Not really...there was actually a lot of craziness going on directly behind me as my
daughter danced, waved her arms, and made crazy sounds to make him smile.

You have to wonder what he was thinking about his mother
during all of this?

"My mom is crazy"!

So this is about as cute as it gets....Carson's sweetest smile.
Guess what his momma was doing to get this reaction???
She was pretending to eat my head, as I was on my knees taking the photo.

Yep.... you gotta do what you gotta do!

I just love this little guy

"Where's Carson"?...... PEAK!!!!!!
that made him smile every time  :)

Just playing

The same spot I took his sister for her 2 year photo shoot
On the tracks with a harmonica in hand
No worries....we never saw a train  :)

  1. Love our little summer photo shoots (well, your photo shoots). I'm beyond impressed that you got some of Carson this year! I thought it was hopeless. Love the ones that turned out! I love this 2 year old boy more than words! Glad you got this moment in time captured forever! Thanks for all your effort and time Mom!

    1. Thanks Ruth, I love photographing the kids. I'll probably be known as the grandma with the camera :)

  5. I was going to ask about trains, so glad you clarified the safety issue.

These are delightful shots that capture facets of Carson's personality. I love the behind-the-scenes stories you shared here. They are as much a part of this photo shoot as the images.

He's getting so big and his hair is so blonde. What a cutie.

    1. I was hoping we wouldn't be seen, two crazy ladies (one jumping up and down),with a small child on the railroad tracks. Ironically we were right across the tracks from the police station, ha ha. It's always a fun challenge with those little ones. :)

  6. Right across from the police station, huh? Did I tell you about the time I crossed police line tape to get a photo and then a policewoman arrived. Yeah. Thankfully she was kind and I did not get in trouble, although I got a bit of a well-deserved "talk."
