A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

Road trippin'...

It's never too cold to go for a drive in the country...

Rick and I decided rather than sitting around on this cold winter day,
we would jump in the car and take us a road trip.

We were craving lunch at The Creamery in Rushford,
so that's the direction we headed.

After lunch we just drove...
We love this part of southern MN, near to where my Dad grew up

Highland Lutheran Church, out in the middle of nowhere.

Henrytown cemetery,
where my "Erickson" Grandparents, Great-grandparents and many
other relatives were laid to rest.

Had to stop by the Lanesboro Dam on the way home, it's such a pretty little display.

We ended out little excursion with a visit to Mom & Dad house....
It was a great day to enjoy & explore the beauty of Winter in Minnesota

  2. OK, Jackie, you are seriously making me realize that Randy and I need to take a Sunday afternoon drive. I miss those. I especially like photo #2 here today. There's something about that corn crib on the right and about he POV in this image that simply draws me into the scene.

  3. I've read through all the posts I missed and I'm all caught up now Jackie. :) I especially loved all the Christmas photos, and the post about you and Rick taking your grandkids sledding. That one brought a smile to my face. Have wonderful weekend!

  4. Next time......give Tom and I a call and we can meet you there!!! As you came up out of Rushford (on Hwy 43) and came to Bratsburg, you were only 7 miles from our little farm (we are East of Bratsburg on Fillmore Cty 10, which changes to Houston Cty 13.......that's the road we live on!!!!!).
