A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

The Men I Love... honoring them on father's day

Father....
We are blessed to still have these two with us.
These two... mine on the left, Rick's on the right.
They are wonderful men who love their children and have set standards
and shown us love over the years as we have grown up.
Thanks for being great dad's and good examples for your son's & daughter's.

I want to appreciate 3 other men in my life,
not my Father, but father's of some very special children in my life....

My dear husband Rick Father of my Children
The only thing better than having you as my husband,
is our kids having you as their father!

You are a man of integrity, honor and humility
and have taught our children much through your example.
God knew I needed a man like you to raise our kids!
We are all blessed beyond measure, because of you.
Thank you for leading our family, for providing for us,
for never complaining,
and especially for you selfless, love!!

and then there's my son's.....

Brice,
there's nothing I've wanted more for you than
to marry your sweetheart and become a daddy.
Scarlett is a lucky little girl to have a daddy like you!
I love to see you being "a dad"...
the look on Scarlett's face when you come into a room,
and your goofy but tender interactions with her.
Watching you take on that daddy role is the best,
you are just like your dad in so many ways,
I love that!!!

Chris, You are a great daddy!
I love that you share an interest in "wrestling with your daughter, it's such a unique and cool bond, I love that you've made it "your thing" with Audrey.
I Love that Carson, likes to watch you and cheer you on in Softball!
Last week, after you hit the ball, I heard him yell through the fence, "you did it daddy".
Audrey & Carson are lucky to have a daddy like you!

To my son's,
Keep doing what your doing, you are amazing daddy's!  You might not always say the right thing, you will make mistakes, but it's how you react to those mistake that your children will remember! Be a good example, tell them your sorry, show kindness, be slow to anger, encourage them, pick them up when they are down,
but most of all ...
be with them, listen to them and love them,
with the same selfless love of your Father in Heaven!!!

A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail.

"encourager"
 "you've got this"
"I know you can do this, now go get um"

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the guys in my life :)
