Pretty Flower

I felt so inclined to share another pretty picture with you. I like my flowers, can you tell? Today was a nice day. I had lunch with my dear friend Julie Warner, we talked about our kids and our selves and all that good stuff. Then I came home and Brice and I chilled for awhile. Soon after that Brianna came home from work, we went for a walk around the neighborhood. We stopped at the park for about 10 minutes and watched a little league team practice. The little boys were cute. Now I'm home...... Brianna is out with friends, Jenny just drove up in her parent's convertable (how cool is that) I went out in the back yard where Brice was shooting birds and i said, "BRICE...a cute girl just drove up into our driveway in a convertible" He came around the house with a gun in his hand which kinda freaked jenny out so she popped into the house to be safe :) Then soon after that they took off for "something creamy" as Jenny put it. I think that means ice cream. Those kids are so cute. I miss Gavin.......still (He's at camp, i'm sure having the time of his life) Rick is golfing, but when he gets home we are going out for a little bite to eat. I can't wait, I'm hungry. welp, enough said for now, P.S. It's finally cool enough to open the windows in the house. I love that.

It's all so random

So it seems like Monday to me, but it's really Wednesday. Crazy stuff. Rick and I went to the cities to hang out with my sister and her family for a couple of days so it seemed like the weekend, but it was really Monday and Tuesday. I actually have the whole week off so It's all fun and games for me :) Anyway, we had a grand time. I enjoyed playing with Sam(6) and Jensen(2) they are so cute and funny. Jensen just cracks us up and Sam keeps us on our toes. Rick dropped Sam on his head Monday night when he tried to do some crazy "spin, Flip Move" that Rick wasn't expecting. Rick felt bad.....Sam survived. Last night Rick and I took Sam and Jensen to watch my other niece Alexandra play fast pitch softball. Alexandra(11) is quite the athlete, she takes after her auntie jackie.......I still gotta get her on the mound. We also got to see our nephew Grant(3) (the wild man) he makes us laugh...what a goofy kid he is. It was also fun to say "hey" to my Little Bro and his awesome wife Michelle. Cant wait till the 4th of July, it's a big day for my side of the family...it rates right up there with Christmas. It's a all day bash at my mom and dad's house, then most of us all go to the same place every year and watch the fireworks. It's so fun......cant wait. Wow I just realized that I probably put 95% of you to sleep.

Today I dont think I'll do anything. I'm feeling like i need to just chill. I might even take myself to a movie, since Rick will be golfing till 8:30 pm. I'll just have to see what happens.

Oh....... I might add that I miss gavin like no other, he is at camp this week and i miss him, I sent him a package that he should get today. Cant wait to see him on Saturday. OK...now I'm done rambling, I should tell you that brice will be mowing today and that is usually a sight to see. He doesnt mow like a typical person would, Brice is unable to mow in a straight line, he will mow in sections, some will be diagonal, some will be circular and some may be wavy..... To mow in a "straight line" would not be BRICE. it's all good stuff. Later..........

Its has been brought to my attention that some of you peeps are not able to "comment" on my blog. I guess I didnt have my "settings" right. Well......... Now I have corrected that problem and any of you peeps in the whole wide world can comment. I'm so happy :)

A blog without a picture

I decided to actually write a 'blog" without a picture...... It's hard, but i'm gonna do it. I think Of the people who never do picture blogs and i wonder why they dont....katherine???? Pictures are fun to look at, but maybe people dont always want to see pictures of peeps. So here is a pictureless blog, it's a rare occurance for me so enjoy. We'll, lets see....... It's Thursday and it's hot.....again. I dont like hot or humid, I want winter!!! I worked till 12:30am and then sat outside at my house with a friend and talked till 2am. I didnt go to bed till 3am, then it was up at 0715, to take Gavin to summer school. Now I feel like a zombie, my fingers are typing but I'm not sure how...... I might have to take a little nap, since I'll be up at 4:55am tomorrow to work an early shift. After tomorrow I'll have 11 days off. YIP
Rick and Brice are up in St. Paul today. Brice is showing his portfolio to the guys at the "College of Visual Arts", hope that all goes well. They might try to catch a lunch with our nephew Jamey Dean. Wow.....that was wierd, I just randomly turned around on my computer chair to look behind me and there was a giant size poster head shot of Jamey on Brice's wall staring at me. Hummmm, strange. Anywho... I'm making no sense at all and my fingers are starting to make dyslexic spelling errors, so I must go take a short nap.

My future son-in-law and his bride to be.... So this is the young man that I started praying for many years ago, when Brianna was still a child. I prayed for her future husband that He would love Jesus and that God would hand pick him just for Brianna. Another prayer answered....How awesome is that ! Here's a little quote that Brianna wrote recently in one of her friends' blog. " I figured God would work it out if he wanted to so I just sat back. I didn't see Chris coming, but once I did, God taught me a lot about Himself while He had me wait to date Chris for a whole long year after I became friends with him." What an awesome testimony of patience and waiting on the will of God. He has blessed you both with each other. The months ahead will be ablast, have fun with it........... maybe I should start the day over again.

Ok.....today has been the worst day of my Life......... I only had to work for two hours this morning, but it felt like 20 hrs. I had very agitated patients that were difficult to manage...I had sweat dripping off my nose while I tryed to hold down my male patient because he was trying to pull the tube out of his nose. He also squirmed so much that half of him was falling off the bed. Oh man, then my lady with the trach (who of course couldnt speak) , was trying to tell me something and I couldnt understand her. I finally figured out that she wanted her head up higher. My brain was about fried by the time my replacement came and took over my patients.
I am so disturbed right now by the screwed up traffic in Rochester. I actually cried a little cuz I was so frustrated, and it takes a lot for me to cry so you know it had to be bad........ Just dont anyone go anywhere near 37th street and N. Broadway......you will cry too. Now i have to pay bills which may make me cry again........sigh
P.S. When i'm to the point where sweat is dripping off my nose i am at my breaking point......just ask my family, it isnt pretty.

verbal road rage

Unfortunatley I had to be out in the traffic this morning around "rush hour". This is not a good time to be out in Rochester right now because of all the rediculous road construction. OK.......I'm gonna admit to evey one right now, I have a problem..... I have a problem with Dumb driver's, ....I participate in "Verbal" Road rage. This morning Gavin and i were backed up forever in traffic at a 4 way traffic light.......When we finally got to the light I was impatiently waiting my turn but the dumb lady on my right just sat there like a zombie, Finally i started waving my arm like a wild animal loudly saying......"Get going Lady, are you waiting for an invitation.......GO"!!!!!!!
Sitting quietley next to me Gavin says, " Do you really think she can hear you mom?" My kids must think I'm a nut. And I especially love the lady this morning that was riding my bumper on Elton Hills drive ( i was already going 5 MPH over the speed limit), when we got to the stop light she whipped off on an exit that had a big "do not enter sign" on it and snuck in front of me. I had a few choice words for that dumb lady also.
Some day I plan on making a bunch of big signs to keep in my car so that when stupid people do stupid stuff, I will be sure to let them know by flashing a sign at them. Examples of my sign will be....... "Back off", "Um, I wonder what the speed limit is" "Retard" "Bear-down on her skinny", "What else did ya get for Christmas?" Anyway........that's all I have to say for now

I love this boy of mine....... The party was a hit. Thanks to all of you who came to celebrate bricey's graduation from High school. He has alot of pretty cool friends and family, I love you all. "the Mom"

OH so sleepy....

I'm looking down on Brice sleeping at the sectional track meet in Northfield.(waiting for the rain to stop) The senior party was last night, Brice got to bed at 6:30am and was up at 7:30 to get to the but for the meet. Yep that would be 1 hour of sleep. He was a trooper and today wasnt his day. We are very proud of you Brice, Your high school journey is now complete. You done good.

Who knew you had to clean the throwers ring before you could throw. Congrats on your high school throwing carrer Brice. With only 1 hour of sleep and a rainy day, You done the best you could at sectionals. whoop whoop :)
