Mothers Day

As I get older (but not old) I am even more thankful for my mom.

Many of my friends and some of my family don't have their mom's to celebrate anymore. It can be a bittersweet holiday for many, but hopefully the sweet memories are there to embrace.

I won't be home for Mother's day this year, but I think you can still celebrate with a phone call.

I miss my kids and grands all the time when we are away, not just on Mother's Day!

So, we text, video chat and phone call until the next visit. Those are sweet times too.

These 3 are my pride and joy. The ones that call me "Mum, Mamma, and Mom"

They are the best kids ever and I just can't believe they are mine.

I am blessed to be your mom,  There is nothing I ever wanted more than to be a mom,

I love you 3 so much!

Can I just mention 2 other mom that are so special to  me.

Sweet Brianna & Jenny... the mother's of my grandchildren
They love those littles so much
Happy Mother's Day Jenney

Won't be long and the littles will be taller than their momma
My daughter.... Happy Mothers day sweetie.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out their, Hope your day is special.

Mothers Day...

This is my mom, I'm so glad she's mine.

Today I took her to a clinic appointment then, just her and I went out for a meal at....can you guess?

"Pannekoeken" have you been to this restaurant?

The waitress runs out from the kitchen singing, "Pannekoeken" as she quickly set this

yummy pancake-like meal in front of you, mom had Apple in hers.

I'm blessed to be the mom of 3 great kids, they bring me much joy, and make me proud to be their mom

Gavin, Brianna and Brice

Mothers Day for me involved church, then lunch with Rick.

We then had the Rochester kids/grands stop by for a visit, we ordered out pizza for dinner. My oldest called mid-day from the Twin Cities to wish me a Happy Mothers Day.

My Mother's Day gift from Rick, a new battery powered trimmer and blower.
No more having to drag an extension cord all around the yard.

Flowers from Gavin, I love the color he picked

My daughter.... such a good mom to these two.
She is truly amazing in so many ways.

My DIL, is a great mamma as well...lucky kids

from my daughter and family, love this hanging plant for my deck

Our little artist Audrey, drawing....always creating.

I thought of 5 friend/family members that lost their mom's this year.
I prayed for their hearts as I know there is deep sorrow in missing their mom's
I'm grateful to still have my mom...so thankful

Mothers Day 2021

As I get  a little older I realize how incredible lucky I am to still have my mom!
Many of my friends do not.
I see the pain they experiance during these "times to remember" our mom's...
like Mother's Day. Wishing they could still hear their mom's voice and give that big hug.
When we are younger we are busy and wrapped up with our own growing families.
We're pretty sure our mom will be here for a long time, but time moves along...

Here's to my friends who have lost a piece of their hearts, your mom

My momma...
Our last year photo...we pretty much are unchanged  :)

I took my mom out for dinner Friday night to celebrate "Mother's Day"
We decided to stop by Brianna's for a little visit,
it seemed fitting to take some 4 generation photo's
Gotta get Carson in their as well.

For my sweet ones, who call me Mom

Brianna, Brice and Gavin... I love you

I'm so thankful for the mamma's of my grand kids.
God chose them wisely and knew just the right mom that they needed.
My daughter Brianna and her babes
She is strong, determined, loving and has abilities to
manage, reason and accomplish much to care for her family.
I love you sweet daughter, I'm so proud you are mine,
you have taught me more than you will ever know!
Your babies are blessed to have you for a mom.

My daughter-in-love Jenny, and her babes
She is strong, loving, and encouraging!
A stay-at-home, home schooling mamma, who is patient and caring.
I'm so glad Brice Chose you! I love you.

My boys,
It makes a momma's heart glad to know they grow into adults and become more than brothers,
They are friends too.
Brice took this photo of him and Gavin on a camping trip they took last weekend.
I love my boys.

Aren't Moms the best...

 I'm glad this ones mine!....
Thanks for putting up with me all these years, I'm glad I still have you to call when I wanna talk or ask about which ingredients go in a recipe, to walk around and look at your flowers, you are the best mom for me that's for sure.
Me and my Mom

There are several other ladies in my life that ARE mom's that mean the world to me....

Rick and his momma
What can I say, she's been my 2nd mom for 38 years and I miss her!
During this "COVID Mother's day" she will not be visited by any of her kids as she is in
a Nursing home. I miss her, we all miss her.
I hope she knows how much she is loved by her family!

My Daughter-in-love, Jenny
I love this one like she's my own, she is a sweet, patient mamma with 2 adorable littles.
I know God chose her for my son Brice!
My grandbabies are lucky to have a mom like you Jenny,
Love you!

This  one is my heart, walking outside my body...
The one who made me a mom first. You have taught me much sweet Brianna and I am so proud of you. I thank God he chose you for my grandbabies, they are blessed to have you for their mamma.

I'm blessed by these 3, they call me Mamma, Mum and Mom!

My Blessings!

Mothers Day, a bit out of the ordinary...

This year was a little different for Mother's Day.
I celebrated with my mom and kids on other days and instead of just one day single day.
Last week Mom and I did our annual flower shopping.
I ended up with a haul, mom picked out a hanging basket,
then we went to lunch together at Hubble House.
We may have to take another trip for flowers, mom wasn't quite sure what she needed.
Thanks for being my mom....love you!

Then the one who first made me a mom came over with Carson
and surprised me with this beautiful hanging basket.
We had a relaxing visit on our deck,
It doesn't have to be a big event, any time spent with my kids/grandkids
is a blessing and so appreciated... thanks Brie.

Saturday we traveled to the Twin Cities to hang out with these two!
Sunday morning, (Mother's Day) my oldest son gave me a sweet card and brought me a donut and coffee...Thanks Brice
*it's the little things that matter.

(daughter-in-love, Jen)
I'm so thankful for these 2 mamma's,
they both amaze me in the way they love their babies,
with all the qualities that make them a good mom.
(daughter, Brianna)

My three Loves!
from photo archive
The one one on the left, my youngest called me on Mothers day to wish me a good day...thanks Gavin

I want me kids to know that they are never far from my heart, that I will always treasure every moment we share, but most importantly I will always love them....always!

Rick and I traveled up to the cabin on Mothers Day
Rick took me to dinner at Zorbas, an Up North favorite!
I was greeted at the door with a rose for Mother's Day.

There are a lot of emotions floating around on Mother's Day....

Many of my friends come to mind today as I know they are missing their moms who are no longer on they earth.  I am sorry for your loss as it must feel so near on this day.
There are also moms who are struggling with their children, there is heartache and sadness as they try and make sense of it all..... I pray for them often in hopes that God will bring peace to their hearts and they can find joy in knowing that they are loved and prayed for.

Mother's Day thoughts...

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom
I'm glad you're mine

<3 br="">
We need to update our photo, but I kind of like this one from a few years ago.
I've got your spunk and attitude....lucky me  :)

My Loves...
those who call me "mom"
I have never been more proud!
Being a mom NEVER goes away, It's hard-wired into our hearts.
Even though you are grown and on your own, I still want to be part of your lives, I always will.
You have all done a great job of nurturing your mamma's heart!

Brianna (and Chris) the way you trust us with Carson,
and let us be with him even though diabetes can be tricky!
I'm sure that's hard for you, but you are always a text away when I'm needing reassurance.
Thank you for sharing your littles with us and keeping us up to date on their activities!

Brice (and Jenny) You keep us up to date with the going-on's at your home by sending frequent photo's and video's of the babies. The video chats are the best, we need more of that.
We love the sleepovers with Scarlett, I'm sure Lew will be joining soon....I hope  :)

Gavin, I love how you just pop-in to see us, and make time to meet us for dinner a couple times a month. You get the title of "my baby",  just so you know that will never change.

Someone got into my heart and wrote the quote below,
(I think that is called plagiarizing), ha ha

To my Children, Brianna, Brice & Gavin...

Mothers Day weekend....

*please excuse some of the photo's that are blurred, My cell phone camera is the worst!!!

I had a whole lot of family time this weekend spending it with Rick and the ones I love the most, our Mother's, our kids, our grand babies and some extended family.
So thankful to still have my mamma around, she suffered a small stroke a few weeks ago which gave us all a scare. She is doing well with only a few residual effects from the stroke.
I got to spend time with her Sunday and again today.....lucky me  :)

Rick and his mom, I love this photo of them!
I'm thankful for Joanne and this wonderful man she raised.

I got to see my twin cities grands on Saturday at my nieces confirmation,
I'm thankful for every minute I get to love on them.
They are just the sweetest little things!

Did I mention that my grand babies have the best mamma ever.
Happy Mother's Day to my dear Daughter-in-love Jenny.
So proud of the mamma you are Jen!
Jennifer is patient, and loving and she's the perfect mamma for Scar and Lew!
We were blessed to have them up to the cabin last weekend.
It's So much fun hanging out with this sweet family.

My oldest Boy Brice,
I asked him if we could get an updated photo of him and I,
He happily obliged!  That was a gift to me, I don't ask for much  :)

My husband knows me well, Dark chocolate and a sweet card

On Mother's Day I had the "Rochester's" over for a cookout,
after we ate we walked to the park
That's Uncle Gavin, helping Audrey up the hill on here roller blades.

My other set of Grands, I never tire of being with them.
They are precious little beings!

My oldest Daughter Brianna and Youngest son Gavin.
They also Obliged me with an updated photo.
Happy Mother's Day to my sweet daughter,
she is the perfect mamma for Carson and Audrey.
So proud of the mamma you are Brianna!
