Labor Day Weekend at the Lake

Labor Day was spent at the cabin with our son Brice and his family this year.
We had a great time with Scar and Lew, they are always in motion and keep us on our toes.
We enjoy talks with our adult kids, games and meals together.
WE ARE BLESSED

Just a few of the photo's from our time together

Fishing with dad on the end of the dock

Scarlett's request.... "Can we go on a family boat ride"?

Watching and learning as grandpa ties a knot to secure a hook

 Morning coffee on the dock

 Little Lewin fishing with daddy

This little love, likes to cuddle on the boat and... "sing songs grandpa"

Daddy and Scarlett, "Draw a creepy picture daddy"
Grandma loves the snuggles too!

 Swinging.
This year we added a disc-swing to a tree next to out cabin.
The grandkids have spent hours swinging, it's the best purchase we've ever made.

Brice and Jen just chillin' In the big swing.

 Love these four

Warm enough to play on the shore, and even wade in a little

It's quiet now.....
Rick and I will enjoy each others company and reminisce about our time with family.

Labor day weekend....

Our Labor day weekend started off with our son Brice, his wife Jennifer and
baby Scarlett coming for a visit and some weekend festivities...
Brice offered to grill up some burgers for dinner Saturday night.
They were scrumptious, he is quite the grill master!

Scarlett was just begging me to take her photo....
She is so so sweet.
Already 8 weeks old, with lots of smiles and coo's

Our daughter Brianna was working the holiday weekend (12 hour shifts)
but was able to rush over after work to bond with her niece, brother's and sis in law.
She's been dying to get her hands on her new niece.
Carson giving kisses to his new cousin.

Uncle Brice always has time to play with Audrey

Uncle Chris and Aunt Brianna

Audrey loves her new cousin, by this time next year Scarlett will be crawling after Audrey

 Oh the giggles  :)
It warms my heart to see my boys love on their nieces and nephews
 Uncle Gavin chillin' with Scarlett.

Now it's September and as you might guess I'm thrilled with the prospect of Fall being right around the corner. Labor day was a beautiful day (once the rain stopped)  I got 5 loads of laundry washed and out on the clothes line. I got the overgrown lawn mowed, then ended the day with a date with my guy.
I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend.... anyone want to share what you did?

Holiday weekend

It was a lovely Labor day weekend,
we spent time doing some things around the house,
relaxed, took a long walk, went on a bike ride, saw a movie,
babysat our granddaughter and ended the weekend with a little family gathering....

Playin' chalk on the driveway is always a hit
even for the "big" girls (brianna & kellie)

Uncle Gavin hanging out with Audrey

Brianna had a little cake for Chris (our son-in-law)
Audrey was very excited to sing happy birthday

Happy Birthday (tomorrow) Chris !!!
