A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

The Ambiance of Christmastime

I look so forward to.....and delight in the ambiance of Christmastime!

I usually have all the decorations in their appropriate places
 by the weekend after Thanksgiving.
From one of my oldest, vintage accordion santa's that Lines the staircase shelf,

and the lighted ceramic house that my MIL made for me in our early years of marriage...

to my newest purchase....
a lighted (twinkling) Christmas scene on canvas.
I just LOVE this!!!

I also love the soft glow in the house from the
 lighted candles and decorations

and then there's the Reason for the Season.... baby Jesus (with Mary & Joseph).
Also new this year, a winter scene snow globe with a birch tree bottom,
gifted to me from my dear friend Valerie.
This one may end up at the cabin.

The Stockings

The tree

My desk hutch in the dining room
Chair in the corner
Tiny Tim and Scrooge, this one is also a favorite from my in-laws

Love this book, we've had it since the kids were little.

This candle is the best... Fresh Balsam from Bath and Bodyworks.
makes the house smell like "Christmas"....you know that smell  :)

Are you all decorated, do you have a favorite piece,
I would love to hear about it!!!

I have to admit I have a bathroom yet to decorate....
maybe tomorrow  :)

  1. Love all your decorating...I barely got my front porch done this year! Merry Christmas to you and yours! <3

    1. Thanks Cindy, it's alot of fun. Merry Christmas to you too!

  2. You have done a gorgeous job!!!! I will miss doing this task this year, as we leave for TX the day after Christmas and I don't want to come back in the Spring and be greeted by "Christmas past"!!!! Blessings to you and your family!!!!!!

    1. I understand the dilemma you have with decorating. I bet you are excited for your get away to Texas, this is a new adventure for you right?

  3. Beautiful, Jackie! I usually enjoy decorating too, but I'm welcoming a year off as we are nomads:)

    1. You will have so much fun decorating your new house next year!

  4. I adore that twinkling art on canvas. Where did you find it? Your house looks beautiful.

    1. I got the canvas print at Kirkland homes in the cities, we used to have the store in Rochester, but no more. I love that place!

  5. I love how you have collected so many special pieces of the years with special memories attached. The house is all decorated and I am looking forward to having some time to truly enjoy it all. Thanks for sharing Jackie!

    1. Thanks Rachel, I cant believe Christmas is only 1 week away, I bet your house looks very festive and lovely
