Brice's surgical update

A little update on Brice's surgery. For those of you who dont know... Brice finally decided to get his deviated septum fixed, he was tired of not being able to breath. Dr. Price informed me after the procedure that it was the "worst septum" he's ever seen....Wow crazy stuff.

We were at the hospital at 9:00 am, Brice didnt go into surgery until 2:00 pm and he returned to his room about 5:00pm. He was a very sleepy boy, he had quite a bit of pain, and he barfed a large amount after his first walk. That was a good thing since it was basically all old blood from the surgery.

We got home about 9pm, Brice survived the car ride but was nauseous all the way home. Still having a fair amount of pain, but I just gave him some more drugs so hopefully they will start working soon. (cross your fingers) Brianna and Chris were here to greet us along with Gavin and Rick. Brianna has now taken Brice upstairs to teach him how to change his nasal dressing. She's such a good nurse/sister.

So yeah , it was a full day at the hospital, we had good care and lovely nurses. I hope the pain is better tomorrow, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I hope Brice's nose gets better and that it doesn't turn out looking like Michael Jackson's....Good Luck!

Wow, Brice. Not a pain the butt anymore, just a pain in the nose. Prayers for a speedy recovery. Luckily, people care about you a lot!! Jackie and Brianna, thank you for the gifts and yeah, that was the shirt you gave Mekhi. I thought that it would be cute to show you on the website a picture of him with it on. Take care you all.
