Thought I would try and re-cap the weekend. It was a fun weekend, just Rick and I (empty nesting). Lets see If I can remember what we all did....
Friday
Started out a little rocky having to work 1/2 hour overtime, which made it too late to workout. Drats
Rick and I decided to go to the fair and walk around for awhile, that was ok, I cant even remember what happend next but I know we came home eventually. Hunter picked Gavin up and they went up to Brice's for the weekend. ( Yes it's true I entrusted my baby to Hunter)
Saturday morning
I went to workout and then spent some time with my bible at Panera. The "white noise" there makes it perfect for reading and studying!!! (I find too many distractions at home) Then to my delight it started to rain, I think I squealed out loud. Oh boy did we ever need the rain. It was absolutely lovely. Rick was only able to finish 9 holes of golf so he was home early. We spent the day together, it was quite enjoyable. We went to the mall (random), came home and decided to take in a matinee movie. We got to the theatre and low & behold there was Brianna and Kelsey, so we sat together. We saw Bourne Ultimatum...great show. We then came home and took a long walk in the mist. About 8pm we went to Macaroni grill for supper then back home we came. Chris and Brianna came over and we Played Cranium. Rick and I smoked them, we da bombs.
Sunday -
Church, then the mall for lunch. We came home and I went to work on the lawn. Mowed and fertilized, Again....in my glory. I read my book for awhile out in my lawn chair, very relaxing indeed. Sunday evening Rick and I stayed at home and watched the first Bourne movie. Then it was time to once again realize that reality was about to settle in and we needed to get out beauty rest for work today.
Today
It was a busy day at work, rather frustrating cases that made me want to stomp my feet and walk away. Grrr I finished my shift with my last patient telling me i did a great job.....whew, I'm glad HE thought so, Good thing those drugs I give have an amnesic effect. Ha
Tonight Rick, Brie and I tryed out a new Restraunt called Paradise Pete's. It was pretty good. I'd go there again. The Chef salad was yummy. Chris was in the cities for his class, Gavin is at work so It was just the 3 of us.

Brianna and Chris look very serious in that game, smile guys its a fun game! I like the pictures of the rain. Yay for rain finally!
ReplyDeleteglad someone has something exciting to write about. All there to do here is watch the grass grow and the apples drop from the tree. pop plunk. Oh the joyous sound. The dumb animals aren'r even acting up. The birds haven't flew into the window or came down the chimney.
