Some one please give me permission to toss this doll.
This was my doll (when I was a little girl).
If I can remember right I tortured the poor thing, pulled it's hair out and flinging it against walls and into the air letting it free fall to the ground.
I suppose every parent buys their little girls a special doll to play with.
I wasn't just any little girl...you see I really wanted to be a boy.
Trucks and bouncy balls were my thing.
The girls in the neighborhood always wanted to play "dolls"....
I opted for the football game in the field with the boys.
Just give me a little pail and a mound of dirt, who needs a doll.
Me playing in the dirt...dressed like a boy
Anyway back to my doll.... I was recently cleaning out our junk closet and came across the doll, I had it in my hands and almost to the garage to toss it in the garbage can, I couldn't do it. I don't even like the dumb thing, but it's one of the few things I still have that was part of my childhood. So I flung it back into the closet for now. I need some pep talk from you all, do I keep it or get rid of it.
The other thing that's kind of creepy about the doll is it reminds me of a very disturbing doll who has made several movies, can you guess who I'm talking about?

"CHUCKY"
I might just have a nightmare tonight.
When I opened your blog, I actually jumped back and kinda silenty shrieked (I'm at work) when I saw that doll. I remembered when I walked into my bedroom at home and Brice had hung it from my ceiling, creeeeeeepy! I couldn't sleep after that! I'm not gonna be the one to say what you do with it, either way.... yikes, creeper doll.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Audrey would want it?
ReplyDeleteI thought of Chucky the minute I saw your doll! I'm glad you made the reference so I didn't have to rick offending you with my observation! ;)
ReplyDeleteI understand needing to kepp bits and pieces from your childhood but that doll is scary!
ReplyDeleteThat is very funny that you still have that doll. I think she would clean up real good and sit in your big chair by the window. Or you could hang her in the little window above your front door like the one in Janesville.
ReplyDeleteuh Gran, creeeeeepy!
ReplyDeleteI remember that doll....I have one almost just like it, but mine has a bit more hair! I am sentimental and I say keep it, but that is just me!
ReplyDeleteIF you keep it .... find a doll hospital to send it to and have it restored. They do fabulous work.
