Someday we will say...."remember the spring of 2013"

Woke up to a winter wonderland...
only problem with that is...
It's not winter,  It's May 2nd
Last time I looked, the month of May was considered Spring!

Oh Minnesota how I love thee, that is why I love this beautiful State
and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Our house
The National Weather Service in Lacrosse WI has it's latest snowfall totals and
NW Rochester (my location)  As of 10am officially we have 15.5 inches,
and the snow is still falling.
Yes....that's a record and I bet it'll be a tough one to ever beat  :)

I dont think the neighbors branches are suppose to be touching the ground

Gavin was just out shooting hoops on Monday

Our poor gazebo, sadly we didn't even think about the amount of snow Rochester would receive overnight, the metal brackets that hold up the canopy couldn't withstand the weight of the snow and as you can see in the photo, we now have an inverted roof. Ugh!

Finally at 11:50am the plow made it to us.... yea!

4 Days ago, all I can do is smile  :)

  1. Wow Jackie! We were supposed to get 2-4 and didn't get anything. We shut off the heat though after last weekend and this morning it was freezing in the house. Next week looks like it might hold some sun for us. :)

  2. I wish I possessed even a bit of your enthusiasm for winter. That bb hoop shot made me laugh, the gazebo canopy sigh. Glad your street has finally been plowed. Enjoy the snow. I'm wondering, do I shovel the rest or allow the snow to melt? I'll wait a few hours before deciding.

    1. Yes, it's a sad day for our Gazebo :( Rick shoveled just enough for us to get out of the driveway, the snow is extra heavy with a couple of inches of slush below the 15 inches of snow, he's a trooper, never complains. I'm sure it will be melted by tomorrow sometime, I say let it melt :) Have a good day!

  3. Wow! No idea you guys were getting so much. We were originally supposed to get 6-9 inches, but then it all shifted south! Hope it melts soon!

    1. It's pretty crazy! It depends on what quadrant you are in, in Rochester. We got the most here in NW, but most of Rochester still got at least a foot. I'm sure it'll be gone in a day or two!
