It is a privledge and a joy to spend time with these friends every Sunday morning.
This is my Women's Sunday School class.
Dot, on the far Right was the Sunday School teacher of my 3 kids when they were 5 years old.
I have attended this class for a long time.
I was quite young the first time I stepped in the door.
I have to be honest.... at first I wasn't so sure I belonged in this class of "older" women.
I soon learned that I was right where I belonged... from the moment I stepped in the door,
I felt welcome and loved.
They ladies are witty, funny and caring...they are such good role models, they inspire me.
Over the years I have learned so much from these wise souls!
Seasoned, Christian women...prayer warriors, who love the Lord !
This week we celebrated Doris's Birthday, (she and I both had birthdays this week!)
Doris Turns 95 on Friday, she is 40 years my senior....
she is a lovely lady and brings much wisdom to our class.
More friends!
Ruth in the middle leads our class every week.
She is a long time professor at Cross Roads College!
Such a sweet, wise and gentle soul.
Then there is Janet, she is a a joy!
She is like the energizer bunny!
Selfless and always willing to do for others!
Know that you are the perfect age.
Each year is special and precious, for you shall only live it once
Be comfortable with growing older.

I thank God for these beautiful women of faith,
I'm so blessed to call them my friends.
It is so wonderful to have a group that gathers together to study God's Word. My group meets Wednesday nights and, like you, I count each of them when I count my blessings. Wonderful prayer warriors that will lift you up in prayer and hold you up when you feel you can't hold yourself. Fellowship with other believing women is a fabulous thing :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Kitty, such a blessing to belong to group of other women who love the Lord as much as we do.
DeleteFirst off, a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my dear Jackie. And Happy Birthday also to Doris.
ReplyDeleteWhen you reach a certain point in life, age doesn't really matter. That's what I've found. What a great group of women. Randy and I are part of a bible study that has been together for longer than I can remember. We meet twice a month. They have blessed us immeasurable with their support, prayers and encouragement. We laugh with them and we cry with them as we study God's Word.
Thanks for showcasing these beautiful women of faith today.
I agree Audrey.... Now that I am "older" the difference in age just seems closer and closer. These women are so dear to me! I'm Glad you and Randy have had the support of your bible study group.... We are truly blessed aren't we :)
DeleteSuch a sweet blog. I'm glad you've found this group to be a part of!
ReplyDeleteMe too :)
DeleteA wonderfully well-deserved honoring of these servants of the Lord. Someday, we will all be "in their shoes".......will we wear them as well? I pray yes. Thank you for such an appropriate tribute on the eve of the day we pause to remember all the blessings that have come to each of us.....and huge birthday blessings to you (and Doris!!!!)................
ReplyDeleteWell said Doreen, these faithful women are a huge blessing to me.
DeleteWhat a beautiful tribute! I also love the quote at the end:)
