A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

Two things for sure......

Cabin "opening" happened a few weeks ago .
Brice, Jen and the kids came, along with our youngest Gavin.

There were 2 things that were a must during this visit....
To watch The Royal wedding
and...
to be there for the 8am delivery of a new refrigerator,
which barely fit through the door, and that's after they removed the door of the beast.

The rest of the weekend was fun, work, and time spent together.

Kayak trips are alway a hit especially when the lake is like glass (Gavin)

Brice and 19 mo. old Lew's first time ride.

My son snapped this picture of Scarlett, love this little face.

Putting the dock together

A trip to town,
This is a normal mode of transportation for grandchildren...on grandpa's shoulders

Uncle Gavin and Lewin playing on the deck

Always time for a story with daddy

Gavin appears to be supervising....someone's gotta do it.

Jen doing her nails on the deck. The sun felt good on this chilly afternoon.

He reminds me so much of his daddy

Walking out on the lake to see the "water water"

 She is such a joy

 In with the boat lift
 and now the boat.

Evening boat ride

Lewin's first time a the wheel.

It was a busy full-of-activity kind of weekend, but opening weekend always is!
We are thankful for the boys and their strong backs and a Daughter-in-love that enjoys being at the cabin, with the littles.

    1. All the sudden he's a little boy, crazy how fast they grow. Yes, we had a good time :)

  2. It's fun to look at these photos and recognize the setting. And, oh, my, how Scarlett and Lewin have grown. What darlings. I love that b & w image of Scar. Dare I say she looks like a teen?

You are building wonderful memories as a family. What love. What a legacy. What a joy.

    1. She is a cutie for sure. Yes I'm sure it's more fun to know the surroundings when you are looking at the photo's. I am excited for mid July when the whole family will be up :)
