A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

It's a long one with lots of pics

Rick and I jumped in the car yesterday for a little road trip. We ended up in East St. Paul at one of our favorite overnight spots, "Wingate Inn" Awesome hotel, huge rooms, yummy extended Continental breakfast and so on. We picked Brice and Jenny up at Brice's place and went to dinner at "Granite City" a favorite of mine. We had a nice time chatting about the wedding plans. It was fun hanging out with the youngsters :)
After a leisure morning in our room, we decided to go browse the shops nearby....
I love this store and wish Rochester had one. It's a glorified TJ Maxx only better. I could have spent hours in there , maybe another time.
Johnson brothers china "The friendly Village" It's a pattern of China that I have always wanted. Someday maybe.

After the shopping bug wore off we headed across into Minneapolis to Lake Calhoun.

We went on a little trolley ride and walked for awhile around the lake.
It was so peaceful and pretty.

I kinda like this guy

Out on the pier.

I liked this house, but couldnt imaging cleaning al those windows :)

All those pretty leaves....

We got home and headed over to Century to watch the "powder puff" football game in which Gavin was one of the coaches. It's a fund raiser game, Senior girls against the Juniors. Here's a couple pics of the game, cheerleaders ect.
