The Lion or the Lamb

It's an old saying for March...
"It comes in like a lamb".....
Like today... 40 degrees,
for minnesotans that means, no coat.

snow melting off the roofs into the eaves and down the spout

You can hear the drip drip from the icicles and see little segments
of green grass coming in beneath the snow.
Spring is near...so we think

The snow begins to receed,
giving way to a boulevard of grass.
***
...but dont forget the "Lion", that's where the rest of the old saying comes in
...and goes out like a lion,(March that is)
~~~
So those of you that are getting overly excited, I hate to burst your bubble,
but it's not over till the fat lady sings...ha
~~~
Here's a few examples that I pulled from my photo library...
viewer discretion advised

THE LION
March 05' nine inches of that fluffy stuff
~~~~
March 07'
~~~~
March 08'
a mere 4 inches

Spring will come but not until the Lion has made his entrance.
I'm just saying....
