Out & about "up north"

Day two started out on our little deck at the Best Western  in Grand Marais

I got up at 06:50 to the sound of and ocean (Lake Superior) and this beautiful site about 20 minutes later.

After breakfast we decided to take one of the Fall color tours

So the "Gun flint trail" it was so worth it.

 Quiet

pristine 

tranquil

On the way back down the shore we stopped at Cascade falls for a little hike.

Again....so worth it

Next stop Lutsen Mountain. 

As beautiful in the fall as it is in the winter 

We got to Chateau Levaux mid afternoon and spent some time out by the lake....more on that later
