It's so refreshing...
no, not the rain...
no, not the rain...
but to see the kids (of today) outside, playing in the rain.
It's something you don't see much of anymore.
Kids tend to be in watching TV,
playing video games or
on the computer.
These activities do not create memories!
Good old fashion playing, that's what makes memories,
stories to tell your children and grandchildren!

I believe the parents have to encourage play and let kids-be-kids
Let them run in the rain
I know we played in the rain and so did my kids,
It brings a smile to my face just to think about it.
My flowers enjoyed out bursts of rain this afternoon as well :)

ReplyDeleteI am so with you on this, Jackie. Parents need to allow their children just to be kids and savor the simple things in life like splashing in a mud puddle instead of organizing every single minute of their days. I always let me kids splash in the rain and play in the mud.
ReplyDeleteAnnabelle loves playing in the rain. She'll run and get her rain boots and umbrella and end up soaked to the skin by the time she comes back in!
