A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

39 tech free ways to curb summertime boredome Warner Press

A good friend of mine, Audrey is writing for Warner Press, a non-profit Christian publisher of church bulletins, church supplies, Christian books and boxed greeting cards. She also created the wording seen in some of their greeting cards. I thought it would be fun to share this post that Audrey recently wrote on the Warner press web site. It has to do with kids and summertime boredom.

Audrey and I are both bloggers, that's how we met....we were first "virtual friends" and then we became real life friends as we met at one of her poetry readings, yes Audrey is a published poet!
Since then we have met several times, and we email often to keep in touch.
Last summer Audrey and her husband Randy were guests at our cabin.
I helped her knock off one of her "bucket list" wishes....to stay in a cabin on the lake.
She was invited to Park Rapids to read some of her poems that were published in
"The Talking Stick vol. 26"

We are like sisters from another mother, we are alike in so many ways.
We both love Photography, farms, old barns, churches and school houses.
We like hanging out clothes out on the clothesline, driving on gravel roads, road trips and exploring. We enjoy the architecture of old buildings, small towns and cemeteries.
But most of all we love Jesus, we share a strong faith, we pray for each others families and encourage each other with kind words and reminders of God's promises.
We both have amazing husbands, we were married in the Spring and
for the same amount of years (36).
We each have 3 children, and we share the joy of grandchildren.
She is treasure in so many ways.

Audrey is a talented photographer and writer, check out her blog here
