A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

Where did April go....

April was a Month of family, visits, and celebrations
It was packed full.... I blinked and now it's almost the end of the month.
Where did April go?

The first weekend we had Brice and kids,
while mama stayed home for some uninterruped time to catch up.
Brice and Rick worked on taxes, while Grandma had "littles duty", my favorite things!
Sunday we met up with daughter Brianna and family for lunch
My goofy grand boys <3
Our Grands,
there was lots of "cousin time" this weekend!

2nd  weekend of April
Rick's brother Brad and sis-in-law Julie invited us up to their cabin for the weekend
They bought their cabin last fall, and are on the same lake as us!
They are just 1 mile north of us, and unlike our cabin, their cabin is seasonal. So they keep it open all year.
It's fun to be upnorth in the winter, julie and I enjoy our morning chats.
We stopped by our cabin and visited with our neighbors.
This is what the lake looks like,
mostly frozen-over with a little water along the edge.

3rd weekend- Easter
Brice, Jen and kids stayed 2 night with us over Easter
Lewin is having fun coloring eggs

After egg coloring,
Scarlett and I snuck away for a little "Girls date"

The cousins even got to hang out on Saturday
Lewin showing us his new skill.... riding the two-wheeler
Egg-finding, Sunday morning (Jenny and kids)
Laser tag

After church we headed to mom & dad's for Easter lunch
My oldest Boy, Brice sitting with Grandpa
My 1/4 Norwegian boy prepping the lefse

After lunch the littles played
2nd cousins
My two brother's and Niece
Niece Alex and others out to enjoy the Kind-of-nice weather
Audrey and Abby, 2nd cousins just hanging out.

4th week of April......  Our oldest grand turns 13
My favorite teenager, Audrey

I took her out for a Manicure, and some ice cream

The family birthday party at my daughters home.
She has the BEST "surprised look"
Ready to sing, "Happy Birthday"
Happy Birthday to you sweet Audrey, my "Jojo"

Sunday morning snuggle with the Twin cities grands
They always wander into our room at about 6:45am and ask to watch cartoon, it's the best thing ever.
After they leave, I keep it this way for awhile....
it's so quiet and we miss the commotion of all our littles.

One more weekend left in April, no big plans but hope to see our Rochester grands on Sunday.
It's kind of a routine when their mama works over-nights.

Hoping we get to open the cabin in May.... the weather has not been cooperating thus far, but Spring is coming....I think

  1. What a lot of wonderful family time! Happy 13th birthday to Audrey! Can't believe she's a teen now.
