It'll just be a little different
This is the culprit
My best friend for the last 2 days
exactly how I feel today
****
Has any one guessed.... The dreaded flu! Apparently the Norovirus has hit Rochester in a big way(so the Post Bulletin says) and has weaseled its way into our house. Gavin started it all off Saturday night(after we all ate at Famous Daves, Gavin was the only one who had pork), I followed on Monday evening, and Rick is beginning to feel partial effects today(I say partial cuz it's only coming out of one end and we'll leave it at that) This is the worse flu I have ever had and I wish it on no one! I will not go into the details, but lets just say "every 20 minutes for about 8 hours straight and then down to about every couple hours for another 12 hours), I think you get the jest of it. I havent worked my abs like that in years, all my muscles from my throat to my lower back hurt, and then the headache doesnt help matters any.
Sadly Rick and I will be spending Christmas eve alone, quaranteened so not to spread this to our extended family. (Brice is still safe at this moment). But we will enjoy each others company and reflect on what Christmas is REALLY about. Jesus is alive and continues to bring us Hope* Joy*and Peace*! No one in our family is dying, no one has an incurable disease, our family is alive and well (well....sort of) an we all have each other. So this year will just be differnt, I cant wait till we can all be together, hopefully Christmas morning. (Please pray for Brice to stay healthy).
We that about does it for me, believe it or not typing and being upright has just gotten me a little weak. Merry Christmas everyone, stay healthy
OH, and the best part of having this deadly flu... I lost 6 lbs in 2 days, Gavin lost 10 lbs. WHOOP

Spray everyone with lysol and hope for the best. Have a great Christmas Eve and get better fast.
ReplyDeleteWill pray for a speedy recovery. We had it roar through our house two years ago just as break started. It was not pleasant. Kevin wound up in the hospital due to dehydration. I know you're a nurse, but make sure you've got some fluids going! With 6 pounds gone, you can have license to eat what you want...but you probably don't feel like it! I hope you all wake up feeling 100% better tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas, it has been wonderful to be able to reconnect with you after all these years!
ReplyDeleteOh man. I am so sorry. (but at least it wasn't from cookie dough!) ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better today...wouldn't that be a good present?
You know don't you ...that now I am getting parnoid...washing my hands every 10 min. LOL
Get better!
wow, you guys are wasting away to nothing!
