Bridal shower

Brianna really wanted to give her future sis-in-law a bridal shower so I agreed to host it at my house. Jenny has been part of our lives for almost 5 yrs and already is considered part of our family, but it will be official in 6 weeks.
~~~
We had 17 lovely ladies at the house to honor Jenny. It was a "family shower", Jenny sister Melissa and her mom Jan were both able to attend and get to know our side of the family. We seemed to mix well, alot of fun was had, it was a good old fashion shower with games and everything.
***
We opened up the shower by sharing memories of Brice with Jenny.
Things she had never heard before, some sweet, some cute, some funny and a few stories that brought tears to the eyes of his Bride . (pass the kleenex please)
A few of the aunties and Grandmas brought pies and snack foods, the pies were wonderful... apple, peach, coconut cream, french silk, lemon meringue, and strawberry. I cut them in big pieces thinking I had way too many pies and that way they would get eaten, but everyone wanted the pieces cut into thirds so they could try 3 different kinds...That works too :)
Thanks to all our lady kin for helping make Jenny's day very special !
After most had left we had a few, linger longers that stayed and played volleyball in the back yard, Brice showed up so we threw him on a team. The yongest was 7, the oldest 50, Lets just say tomorrow a few of us will move a little slower :)
  4. Yes, it was so much fun! And to give credit where it's due, Mom did so much more of the work than I did! Thanks Mom. I liked those who lingered, it was a fun random mix of family playing v-ball and eating pizza. I loved it! What a fun day :) Pie was a good idea too!
