walking through a field of tractors

Last week my camera and I attended the 25th Annual Field Days in Park Rapids, Mn
It's put on by the Antique Tractor & Engine club
The lure was my love for old tractors, and anything "Yesteryear"

I copied a list of  things going on during the weekend event....

Combining, Threshing, Tractor plowing, sawmill, people movers, shingle making Blacksmith Shop, Lath Making, Snow Fence Making, Tractor Dyno, Church Services, Tractor Displays parades, Horse Related Machinery, Vintage Implements, Stationary Gas Engines Working Displays, Barrel Train, Petting Zoo, Ice Cream & Popcorn, On the half hour giveaways, Northern Knights Car Club Old-Time Gas Station, Silent Auction.

On the grounds they also had this cute little church...

A bonus for this "old church" loving' girl.
Remember hymnals????
Maybe some of you still use them, our church has had the projected lyrics on a screen for years!

 A field full of tractors
Some really old
 some not so much

and a few cars thrown into the bunch

For you farmers out there.... what's this contraption?
Perhaps a thrashing machine????

My eye zoomed in in this old chain.... it's seen it's days

A little boy hopped on this wooden merry-go-round just as I was snapping the photo.

 demonstrations

This guy...
wondering what's was going on in his mind as he walks through
a field of old tractors and farm machinery.

    1. Me too Cindy, love that smell. I'm glad I come from the generation that got to use hymnals.
