A mix of photography, recipes, personal thoughts, faith, and lots of family stuff, but not necessarily in that order.

Our hearts are full....

Last week Rick and I had the joy of watching our Twin Cities grandkids for 4 days while my son and his wife went out east for an anniversary get-away. We were the 2nd shift as Jenny's mom and dad did the first half. The kids were great and it was so much fun having quality time with them.
We hit the jackpot at McDonalds with the Happy Meal doll and car prizes!
SCORE!!!

The weather did not cooperate and it rained almost the whole time we were there,
we found things to do, but would have enjoyed more time outside with cooler temps.

We found a mall (Maplewood) that was close to my son's house with lots of fun things to do
Giant sized "Connect Four", building blocks and a chess set.
Grandpa and the kids jumped in for a train ride
A 2-tier carousel was a hit with both kids

We had one sunny day but it was near 90 degrees, not fun for this grandma.
We played outside anyway
Lewin loves playing drums, he's got skills like his uncle Gavin.
Music is playing and he's really concentrating. He was actually tapping his toe to the beat as well.

Swinging
and more swinging

We made cookies for Mommy's birthday
I can hardly stand the cuteness
I got to take Scarlett to preschool, she was so excited to show me the way to go.

walks in the rain to see the neighbors Halloween decorations
Special afternoon with just grandma while Lew had a nap.

Times like these are the best, we feel blessed to be part of these little ones lives.
Thank you Brice and Jen for trusting to take care of your littles.
