Our summer consists of being at the cabin for about 2 weeks then back home to Rochester for a week, then repeat....
We've got our groove when it comes to maintaining 2 homes, but we have had some help from the Rochester kids when mowing the yard is involved. We are thankful for the help
The last time we were home, late September into early October we got to catch up with our families.
That involves watching the grands play sports, hanging out, bonfires, Homecoming games and wishing our oldest granddaughter off to the homecoming dance. We love every minute of it.
Carson making s'mores in our backyard
Did I mention cleaning up the flower beds?
Flag football for Carson, and Saturday morning Soccer (not pictured)
Flag football for our little Lew, playing center (like his dad did in High School)
Our fiesty Scarlett (middle) also playing flag football
This last Saturday she reportedly got a touchdown, and Lew almost pulled a flag off the opponent.
Our Audrey all ready for the homecoming dance. how in the world is she old enough?
Yesterday we took the boat in to be winterized,
it's always a sad day as this means we are getting closer to the end of the season.
I took the boat out the other day and captured some of the "color" along the shore
Also found me some gathering loons
Sun shining off the trees
hello Mr. loon
Our "Closing Crew" will be up this coming weekend to help get the boatlift and dock out of the water.
Stay tuned to see who shows up to help this year.
Those fall colors along your lake make for stunning images. You ought to print and frame. Thanks for sharing your family and cabin stories here. I, too, cannot believe that is Audrey all grown up.
