I’ll give you a hint.
In most polls, Rochester Minnesota is either the 2nd or 3rd windiest city in the United States
Notice there is no canopy over the top of our gazebo. There is a reason for this. About every 2 to 3 years, we have to replace it because the wind is so bad in Rochester that it rips it apart, even with reinforcement. These canopies are not cheap, NOT! and I usually buy the one that is most expensive and advertised as the most durable and weather resistant.
We have decided that we have to come up with another idea, maybe not such a pretty idea like a Cheaper tarp from Menards, or we may have to go with some other kind of gazebo type thing. So right now I’m sitting out on the gazebo with a light rain hitting me that typically would not be hitting me because there’s a canopy over me, GRRRRRR!
We love sitting out on the deck with the canopy blocking the sun, keeping it cooler in the summer months, I especially enjoy coming out in the early morning to enjoy my coffee. We shall see what becomes of the gazebo and the canopy dilemma…
We lost two umbrellas for our patio table to the wind. It is fierce. I hope you can come up with a solution.
ReplyDeleteThe wind is definitely frustrating and so damaging here!

ReplyDeleteI had no idea Rochester is such a windy city. I wonder why. I'm sorry about all those ripped canopies.
